Public call: Increase in funding for the Sustainable Mobility Call 2023–2029 (JR EKP UTM 2025)

The Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 11/2026 (13. 2. 2026) amendments to the Public Call for Co-financing of Sustainable Mobility Measures 2023–2029 (JR EKP UTM 2025). In addition to the EKP Programme 2021–2027 (priority 5, objective RSO 3.2), the call also extends to the Climate Fund Spending Programme 2025–2028, measure 2.1 – investments in sustainable mobility infrastructure.

Accordingly, the available funds for co-financing the public tender are increased from the previous 49,527,698.93 euros to 81,527,698.93 euros.

The subject of the public tender is the allocation of grants from the European Cohesion Policy and the Climate Fund to municipalities to co-finance investments that promote sustainable mobility in municipalities by limiting personal motorized traffic and significantly improving infrastructure for public passenger transport, pedestrians and cyclists.

The deadlines for submitting applications to the public call have also changed, so there are two more application deadlines available:

• the second deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2026;
• The third deadline for submitting applications is January 26, 2027.

The public tender will be open until the funds are used up, or no later than April 30, 2027.
