Public invitation to present Slovenian startups at the Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon

Web Summit is one of the largest and most important international events in the field of startups, innovation and technology , where startups, investors, corporate representatives, media and other key players of the global entrepreneurial ecosystem meet. The event attracts more than 70,000 participants from more than 150 countries every year.

Participation will be granted to twelve (12) Slovenian startup companies that meet the conditions of this invitation.

SPIRIT Slovenia will provide a national presentation of Slovenian startups in the form of a joint exhibition space at a specially designated business contact point, visually equipped with national branding. The purpose of the group presentation is to present national technologically advanced solutions, establish business contacts, obtain investment opportunities through organized 1:1 meetings and increase the visibility of the Slovenian startup ecosystem on the global stage. Prior to participation, a preparatory mentoring program will be organized for selected companies to improve their presentation and investment readiness.

BENEFITS FOR THE STARTUPS INVOLVED

SPIRIT Slovenia, a public agency, will provide the following forms of support to the twelve (12) selected companies:

• Appearance at the national business contact point: inclusion in a common exhibition space with individual startup stands (1.5m2). Each company exhibits at least one day of the event; the distribution by days is determined by SPIRIT Slovenia in accordance with the organizer's terms.
• Web Summit Startup Package: each company receives accreditation for the event according to the appropriate category (ALPHA, BETA or GROWTH), access to the official online networking platform, inclusion in the official startup search profile and the official website of exposed startups, and the opportunity to register for Mentor Hours, Pitch Competition, Investor Meetings and selected workshops (Masterclasses).
• Startup Success Manager: each company has the support of an organizer consultant who takes care of preparing the profile, logistical coordination of activities, and inclusion in the event's program activities.
• Meetings with investors and partners: access to 1:1 meetings with international investors, corporate partners and decision-makers, organized via the official event app before and during the event.
• Mentoring preparation before the event: selected companies are included in a preparatory mentoring program, which includes preparation of pitch presentations, investment consulting, business communication, and preparation for targeted networking.
• Promotional support: inclusion of companies in communication and promotional activities of SPIRIT Slovenia and the Web Summit organizer before and during the event (official website, application, social networks); the company profile on the website and in the event application remains published for one month after the end of the event.
• Access to a global ecosystem: direct networking with international investors, corporations, partners, media and other startups from around the world, including access to the official Jobs Board platform and Attendee Perks.
• Delegation coordination and follow-up support: joint coordination and support of SPIRIT Slovenia before and during the event, including coordination of delegation activities in the field.

Companies approved for presentation shall independently cover the costs of transportation, accommodation, and the costs of transportation of exhibits and equipment for presentation at the stand. Companies included in the delegation shall have the opportunity to potentially co-finance costs within the framework of the Voucher for participation in economic delegations, subject to the conditions set out in the public call of the Slovenian Enterprise Fund.

DEADLINE AND METHOD FOR APPLICATION

The JRP online application for submitting applications will be open from Monday, June 22, 2026. The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ( EXTENDED until Monday, August 24, 2026 , at 11:59 p.m.).
