Public announcement for a vacant position: PROJECT MANAGER (M/F)

The place of work is in Dravogradu, at the address Meža 10, 2370 Dravograd, where the official premises of the company RRA Koroška regional development agency for Koroško region doo (hereinafter: RRA Koroška) are located or at another location, in accordance with the internal rules RRA Koroška. The work is mainly carried out in the morning shift; if necessary, also in the afternoon and on weekends. The terms used in the text of the announcement, written in the masculine grammatical form, are used as neutral for women and men.

Job duties:

• independently prepares, manages and implements the most demanding projects in individual content areas;
• monitors domestic and foreign public tenders, competitions and public procurement;
• provides consulting and support in the preparation of regional projects and independently prepares documentation for candidacy in public tenders;
• acquires project partners and external project contractors;
• advises partners and other clients;
• independently prepares, edits and archives project documentation;
• ensures successful completion of projects in terms of cost, schedule and content;
• organizes strategic meetings and business events;
• conducts strategic training and workshops;
• cooperates with professional services and external partners;
• prepares data and analyses for the needs of the most demanding projects;
• takes care of the overall image, communication and editing of websites;
• complies with applicable legislation, standards and internal regulations;
• Upon the order of the director, he/she also performs other tasks for which he/she is professionally qualified.

A person who meets the following conditions may be appointed to this position:

• that they have at least a V. level of education or professional qualifications (if the candidate has a VII. level of education, the required education or professional qualifications are in the field of educational, social, business, administrative, legal and natural sciences or education in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction);
• to have at least 3 years (VII.) or alternatively 8 years (VI./2), 12 years (VI./1) and 20 years (V.) of work experience;
• has experience in project management or implementing tasks in the field of regional development (experience in implementing projects financed with EU funds is desirable, but not necessary),
• knowledge of at least one foreign (world) language and active knowledge of the Slovenian language;
• is qualified to work independently with a computer;
• has a category B driving license;
• has organizational and leadership skills and teamwork;
• Experience in preparing investment documentation is desirable, in accordance with the applicable Regulation on a uniform methodology for the preparation and processing of investment documentation in the field of public finance;
• Experience in managing investment projects is desirable.

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the desired (and not essential) conditions for filling the position.

Candidates must attach the following documents to their application:

1. proof of meeting the condition regarding (professional) education, which must indicate the level and field of education, as well as the year and institution where it was obtained (if the candidate has a VII education, the required education or professional qualification is in the field of educational, social, business, administrative, legal and natural sciences or education in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction);
2. CV with a description of work experience (it is mandatory to state: the period in which the candidate performed individual jobs and tasks, where they were performed, the candidate should describe in detail the type of work and tasks they performed, the level of complexity of the work and tasks and what title they held, the description must also show that the candidate has met other conditions and any knowledge and skills that show that the candidate has organizational and managerial skills and the ability to work in a team. The description of work experience must also show that the candidate has experience in the field of project management (especially in the field of projects funded by the EU). A Europass CV is sufficient, provided that it shows what is required in this point;
3. a statement of knowledge of at least one foreign (world) language and active knowledge of the Slovenian language, (b) that the candidate has a category B driver's license and (c) is qualified to work independently with a computer;
4. a statement that he/she allows RRA Koroška to obtain data from official records for the purpose of this call. In case the candidate does not agree to this, he/she will have to submit the relevant required evidence himself/herself.

The selected candidate will be employed for a fixed-term contract of two (2) years with a probationary period of 3 months and the possibility of concluding a permanent contract.

Timely and complete applications with the required evidence of meeting the conditions will be taken into account. The selection procedure may also include an interview, which may be conducted with candidates who, based on the submitted evidence, meet the tender conditions.
