Environment and spaceSlovenia is preparing regional spatial plans (RSPs), which for the first time comprehensively plan spatial development at the level of development regions. Since space is a limited resource, the preparation of the plan is based on open dialogue and the involvement of the widest possible range of stakeholders.
The goal of the regional spatial plan is to be based on the actual development needs of the area and represent a common agreement on the future development of Koroška.
The RPP is a strategic document through which the state and municipalities agree on the long-term spatial development of the region based on key strategic documents and the needs of the local environment. It will define key development directions, priority areas for individual activities, and set a spatial planning framework with a view to 2050.
